Sea Pal Cove was one of the highlights of our trip to Fort Bragg. Tucked right on the wharf, the setting alone is worth the visit — cool, casual, and dripping with that authentic fishing town charm. The food was genuinely delicious. We started with clam chowder and onion rings — they were out of calamari which was a bummer, but the onion rings more than made up for it. The chowder was exceptional; the clam chunks were some of the largest I've ever seen in a bowl of clam chowder. Hearty, rich, and clearly made the right way. My partner had the fish and chips, which were perfectly done — crispy, fresh, and satisfying. As for me, there was a small mix-up with my order (I had ordered a burger) and I ended up receiving the prawns instead — which actually worked out perfectly since I had been eyeing them anyway. They were absolutely delicious, and honestly it was a happy accident. The fries were great too. The staff were friendly and the whole vibe of the place felt genuine and unpretentious, which is exactly what you want from a wharf seafood spot. If you're in Fort Bragg, don't skip this one. Highly recommend!

Always a MUST stop! Delicious chowder, ciopinno, fish-n-chips, and deep fried mushrooms. They were fantastic! Service was quick and helpful. Great selection of beers on tap! Should've gotten a pitcher...next time! They do have hot sauce available upon request and at the counter. Cocktail sauce has a zing!

Sea Pal Cove is legendary, and for once the hype is 100% deserved. Best fish and chips in the area, no question. Their beer batter absolutely crushes the panko-style places (no shade to panko, but beer batter is the correct answer here). The fish is perfectly crispy, not greasy, and somehow stays crunchy the whole time instead of turning into sad soggy fish halfway through. Same story with the fries: crispy forever. Like… how. The setting is also a big part of the magic. All outdoor seating, looking out at the harbor and watching boats coming and going. Top-tier coastal vibes. Prices are totally reasonable, beer menu is legit, and the food is excellent every single time. If you’re in Fort Bragg and you skip this place, I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed.

The, fish and chips were fresh and hot, melting in your mouth good. The clam chowder was fresh with the biggest clams we’ve ever seen in it. The clams were super fresh, not rubbery, mild, not fishy tasting.

OMG! I am so mad and kicking myself I didn't find this place the first night we made it there. The clam chowder was delicious, do not forget to ask for hot sauce! I'm drooling all over again thinking about this. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was beautiful!!

There aren’t many local perks to being in the top 10% of Google Reviewers or a Yelp Elite All-Star, but every once in a while it pays off in the best possible way. Yesterday was one of those days. The team at Sea Pal Cove invited me in to sample their Valentine’s Day special, and let me tell you, they absolutely knocked it out of the park. They’re offering a Valentine’s meal for two that includes Shrimp Scampi 🍤, a calamari appetizer served with their famous chipotle dipping sauce, garlic bread, cheesecake, and two drinks all for $50. Yes, fifty dollars. Add in some of the best views in town, and you’re already winning before the first bite. Now, if you know me, you know I don’t play small when it comes to food. I brought along my friend Johnny Ramey, who knows his way around a plate as well as anyone I trust. Portion size alone left us both full, but more importantly, every dish delivered on flavor. The shrimp scampi was rich and satisfying, the calamari was perfectly cooked, and that chipotle sauce deserves its own fan club. Dessert sealed the deal, and the drinks paired nicely with a view that reminds you why we live here. Great food, generous portions, fair pricing, and a setting that does half the talking for you. If you’re looking for a Valentine’s dinner that feels special without feeling overpriced or pretentious, Sea Pal Cove nailed it. This is one of those meals that reminds you how lucky we are to have spots like this right in our own harbor.

The best fried fish I've ever had. The location is so atmospheric, and we were even welcomed by a few seals that would surface from the water. The fish is caught locally, and it really felt like a quintessential communal experience. If I'm ever in fort bragg again I'll be stopping here.

Not fancy, but possibly the best fish and chips I me or my wife have had. The onion rings were amazing as well. They were made with thickly sliced red onions. The fish portions were generous as well. As of 05/19/2026 the rings were $10 and fish and chips were $17.75. They also have an extensive selection of craft beer on tap. I highly recommend a stop in.

Food is very delicious here - this is a must visit place if you happen to be in the area. Chowder and cioppino were loaded with seafood - you better order in paper bowls if you do not eat bread much. We also ordered calamari to share - the portion was good and not over-fried - so calamari was not chewy at all - cooked freshly. Tables could be cleaner: I understand this is a wharf eatery but still a clean table shows respect for your clients.

Amazing food. Had the fish & chips and clam chowder. They have a great cider and beer selection. I'm used to smaller clam pieces like in New England but this was still good. If you're on the fence about clam I can see where you might not like the texture but the chowder has a great taste of potato and chive. It can be cold but there are heaters and a fire pit which adds to the cool atmosphere.
